Former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez has declined his qualifying offer from the Los Angeles Dodgers officially making him a free agent.

Hernandez is coming off an unbelievable season in Los Angeles as he hit 33 homeruns, 99 RBIs with a .272 batting average and .339 on base percentage which is why many insiders believe he will be signing a massive deal this winter.

Former Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez has decline the Dodgers qualifying offer

News has broken that Hernandez has decided to decline the Dodgers 1 year $21.5 million qualifying offer as he officially enters free agency which could see him return to Los Angeles regardless as he has stated that he would love to return.
Teoscar Hernández has reportedly declined his $21.05 million qualifying offer from the Dodgers and will officially enter free agency.
This does not come as a big surprise since Hernandez is set to sign for more than $20 million per season according to his contract projections and will likely secure a 3-4 year term.
MLB Trade Rumors projects that Hernández will earn less annually in free agency than his current $20 million per year, but he's expected to secure a longer deal, giving him more job stability.

Meanwhile, The Athletic predicts he'll land a three-year contract with a higher annual value of $25 million.

Either way, it's clear Hernández is looking for more than a one-year commitment, and it's easy to see why he'd want that kind of security after proving his worth. - Angus-Combs

Hernandez is fresh of a World Series win and is looking to find a landing spot that he can stay at for the long term which he has stated on a few occasions.
The Dodgers as of right now are still the favorites to land Hernandez in free agency but the Blue Jays still could potentially bring him back if Ross Atkins is willing to make him the right offer.
