According to MLB insider Hector Gomez, the Blue Jays are expected to make
Guerrero a second offer that will be much closer to the number he is looking for which has been said to be a minimum of $450 million.

Hopefully GM Ross Atkins really does see what is in front of him and makes
Guerrero an offer that he finds interesting as the last one was nowhere near what he is looking for.
When taking his salary for 2025 into account and putting it on a 15 year deal, the contract would be $427.5 Million which is very close to what he is looking for so if Atkins can land near that, at least
Guerrero will see they are serious.
If it comes down to it, the Blue Jays should raise their offer to $450 million because it is not worth losing your franchise players over $20 million when discussing a contract that is over $400 million.
Fans have very little faith in Atkins getting this deal done as he has made a ton of mistakes so far this off-season but hopefully he can prove them wrong.
The Blue Jays need to do everything they can to keep Guerrero in Toronto for the rest of his career.
