The Blue jays take on the Rays this afternoon as they look to avoid the sweep against the Rays.
Surprisingly, the Jays announced that pitcher Alek Manoah will be on the mound for Toronto. This comes as a bit of shock to some fans since Manoah has been struggling with his confidence over the last year and going into a situation where a loss would mean a sweep for the Rays does not seem good for Manoah's confidence.
Manoah did have a solid start in his last performance despite the Jays offense struggling once again which led to another loss.
