The Toronto Blue Jays may have a solution for their offensive woes in the Buffalo Bisons as Blue Jays prospect Jonatan Clase has been lighting it up in Triple A.
Clase has been showing great progress in his offense and could be called up in the next few days as the Blue Jays return home to face off against the Boston Red Sox next week.
Clase deserves a hard look by Blue Jays for time in the big leagues
Clase has been a standout hitter at Triple-A this season, as he's hitting .364 with four doubles, 24 hits, 13 stolen bases, and a .899 OPS.
He's also on a seven-game hitting streak and recently had a game where he went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, a walk, and a sac bunt. That skillset could help him provide the Blue Jays' offense with the shot in the arm that it needs. - Vanessa Serrao

Clase has shown his potential that he could be a great addition to the Blue Jays especially with their offence struggling. He has good speed where he stole 55 bases and High A back in 2022.
He appeared in seven MLB games with the Blue Jays last year and hit .350 (7-for-20) with a home run and two RBI. He's appeared in 65 MLB games with the Blue Jays and Mariners and is a career .246 hitter with three extra-base hits. - Vanessa Serrao
Offense one of several areas Blue Jays need improvement
Despite having a strong start to their season, the Blue Jays are continuing to recognize areas that need improvement including their offence being consistent as players like Anthony Santander and Andres Gimenez are currently below .200 in their batting average with only sixteen RBI between them.
The team is also trying to sort out it's starting rotation as they continue to wait for Max Scherzer to return to the mound who continues to battle thumb inflammation which has put stress on the relief pitching.
On a positive note, the Blue Jays continue to receive great starting pitching from their veteran pitchers And George Springer has had a solid start to his season along with Bo Bichette.
The Blue Jays will finish their series against the Yankees on Sunday April 27th and then will return to Rogers Centre for a series against the Boston Red Sox. Game time will be 1:35 PM eastern.
