If he continues to progress without setbacks over the next few outings, he's expected to be cleared to face live hitters, paving the way for a rehab assignment
Arden Zwelling took to X yesterday to give an update on Burr's recovery.
Blue Jays pitching updates:
- Ryan Burr (shoulder) threw a bullpen Saturday.

Fellow reliever Erik Swanson likely a little ahead of Burr, as he's slated to face live hitters a couple times next week.
A fifth-round pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2015 draft, the right-hander made his MLB debut in 2018 with the Chicago White Sox.
His strongest season came in 2021, when he posted a 2.45 ERA and 4.23 FIP over 36.2 innings, along with a 21.9% strikeout rate and a 13.9% walk rate.
On May 31 2024, the Blue Jays acquired the 30-year-old reliever from the Phillies in exchange for cash considerations. Burr went on to become a steady presence in Toronto's bullpen, recording a 4.13 ERA and a 3.07 FIP over 32.2 innings, primarily in low-leverage situations.
