Hazel Mae speaks to Blue Jays manager John Schneider on decision to trade for Andres Gimenez

Sportsnet reporter Hazel Mae sat down with Blue Jays manager John Schneider today to speak of the team's plan for the off-season and the reasoning behind trading for Gimenez.
Mae asked Schneider about the reasoning behind going after a defensive player like Gimenez instead of an offensive threat which the entire fanbase has been wondering.
It may be the final day of the MLB Winter Meetings but John Schneider tells me the #BlueJays' work is not done yet.

Schneider thinks that it was a good move to go after a player of Gimenez caliber as it will only help the Blue Jays roster but also added that they are far from done this off-season.
According to what Schneider was saying, the team still has a ton of plans for the off-season and does not think that just because the Winter Meetings are done, the off-season is done.
The Blue Jays manager does make some great points since there are still a ton of great players available and while the Winter Meetings are now over, there is still a few months left before pitchers and catchers report.
Hopefully the Blue Jays are able to deliver in acquiring an offensive threat this off-season as even Schneider stated that their team could only benefit from picking up a player like that.
While the Winter Meeting are officially over, the Blue Jays front office still have a ton of work to do.
